Heat dissipation: Oversized heat sync keeps the fixture cool producing the most light possible while protecting the LED diodes from damage. And yes the fixture produces enough heat to melt off any snow/ice buildup.
High output: The Snowlux 1P Surpasses 62,000 lumens.
Light temperature: 4000K color temperature is far lower than typical commercial LED lighting equipment found in other applications. 4000K has a longer light wave length that can better penetrate suspended solids (i.e. blinding snow and dust). This is the reason you see Baja racers in the desert running amber off road lights!
Optics: Snowlux employs elliptical optics that disperse light in a horizontal oval pattern. The degree spread (width & height) of the pattern have been purposefully designed with the mounting heights seen in typical ski area applications and with typical run widths in mind.
G rating: Lighting is often mounted to ski lift poles, trees, and snowmaking equipment that experience near continuous vibrations. These vibrations cause significant damage to electrical components and significantly shorten the lifespan of normal LED fixtures. All Snowlux fixtures are rated to 3G resistance or greater making them safe to mount to vibrating mounting locations.
Warranty: All Snowlux fixtures are backed by a 5 year advance exchange warranty. This keeps your slopes open and safe.
